Homestead 4

Homestead 4 carries the fragile authority of a house still recognizable through its damage. The centered door, broken windows, and encroaching grasses create a restrained emotional force. Rather than presenting collapse as spectacle, KM Smith gives the structure room to speak quietly about shelter, absence, and the slow withdrawal of human life from the landscape.

Collector note. This photograph holds one of the series’ most delicate balances between architectural form and emotional residue.

All prints are presented on Canson Baryta Giclée paper.
